Aim
This course is aimed on certifying candidates as officers in charge of the navigation watch. This course is also designed to achieve the requirements for the ship simulator and bridge teamwork system use course for masters and officers in charge of a navigational watch, based on Regulation VIII/2, Section A-VIII/2 and Section B-VIII/2, in reference to use of navigational aids equipment of the STCW 1978 Convention, as amended and the STCW Code.
Scope & Objective
Demonstrate skills in the use of ship simulator and bridge teamwork for safe navigation, taking into account appropriate measures for the safety of vessel and the maritime environment, according to Regulation VIII/2, Section A-VIII/2 and Section B-VIII/2of the STCW 1978 Convention, as amended and its STCW Code.

Entry Standards
The main requirement for the candidates to this course is to have a minimum experience of six (6) months of service at sea of watch keeping experiences officer in charge of a navigational watch. The participants must have a good health certificate
Medical Standard
As per M.S (Medical Examination for seafarers) Rules 2000 as amended from time to time.
Course Certificate
Upon successful completion of the course, the participant must receive a course completion document for “Ship Simulator and Bridge Teamwork”, in accordance with the Regulation VIII/2, Section A-VIII/2 and Section B-VIII/2of the STCW 1978 Convention, as amended and the STCW Code.
Intake
Not Above 30 per class
Required Attendance
100% attendance is required for successful completion of the Course. However, in exceptional circumstances the relaxation can be given for genuine reasons

70 % or Above
Holidays
Sundays & Govt. Holidays
Exam
A test will be conducted on completion of the Course.
Re Exam
The Student will be given two more attempts if score below 70 %. In case if the student fails to get 70 % or above he needs to join the Course as Fresh.
Certificate
After Successfully completion and Passing of Exam, a certificate will be issued to the Student certifying that he has successfully completed the Course.
