Aim
The crowd control training course on passenger ships is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills they must possess to exercise the role and assistance to passengers following structured procedures and plans on board a passenger ship. This covers the mandatory skills, knowledge and understanding required specified in the STCW´78 Convention, as amended and STCW Code.
Scope & Objective
The objective is to provide students with information to acquire the knowledge, understanding and competence necessary to achieve the objectives of the learning results to demonstrate their competence in control and manage public order on board passenger ships as well as manage passenger safety in accordance with Section A-V/2 paragraph 3 and Table V/2-1 of the STCW Code as amended. This knowledge shall include, but are not limited to:

The participant shall have:
Medical Standard
As per M.S (Medical Examination for seafarers) Rules 2000 as amended from time to time.
Course Certificate
Upon successful completion of the course, the participant should receive a course completion document for "Passenger Ship Crowd Management Training", in accordance with Regulation V/2, paragraph 7, Section A-V/2, paragraph 3 and Table V/2-1 of the 1978 STCW Convention, as amended and its STCW Code.
Intake
Not Above 30 per class
Required Attendance
100% attendance is required for successful completion of the Course. However, in exceptional circumstances the relaxation can be given for genuine reasons
Passing Percentage
70 % or Above
Holidays
Sundays & Govt. Holidays
Exam
A test will be conducted on completion of the Course.
Re Exam
The Student will be given two more attempts if score below 70 %. In case if the student fails to get 70 % or above he needs to join the Course as Fresh.
Certificate
After Successfully completion and Passing of Exam, a certificate will be issued to the Student certifying that he has successfully completed the Course.
